Welcome to RESPECT SPORTS

Playing to Share.

We are one of the first Basketball Competitions in Australia to share profits with specific charities each season.

RESPECT SPORTS currently run

MENS and WOMENS Social Basketball Competitions

Aqualink Box Hill, Canterbury Road on Monday nights from 7PM

At Respect Sports our profits go to a different charity each season.

Our Charity for 2022 seasons is… Movember

Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing a health crisis, yet it’s rarely talked about. Men are dying too young. We can’t afford to stay silent.
Movember are the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. We know what works for men – and what doesn’t.

It's with heavy heart that we want to let our community know that our long term member Adrian Keith Glover passed away over the weekend. Adrian played for over 30+ years with our competition recently with MCD Men/Masked Men. Our thoughts go out to his wife, parents and sister.

As announced last year, in honour of Adrian's contribution to RS/SABAV at the end of each year we are going to award the League Community Player.

The new Adrian Glover award would be awarded to the player that best represents Respects Sports values of community, safety and respect for the year, at each Grand Final night.

We'll miss you mate. After 34 years of playing in the RS/SABAV league, this amazing shooter is retiring (well moving interstate)

I've (Matt) Had the pleasure of playing with him for the last 5+ years but also remember being completely dominated by him 20+ years ago back on the courts of Collingwood.

In honour of Adrian's contribution to RS/SABAV we are reintroducing the League Community Player of the season award.
The new Adrian Glover award would be awarded to a player that best represents Respects Sports values of community, safety and respect at each Grand Final night.

Thanks for all the baskets Adrian and best of luck interstate.

Adrian's team played in arm bands in honour.

I am forever grateful for the way you are honouring my Georgie. He would be soo overwhelmed with all of the appreciation and respect showed for the man he was. Life will never be the same without him and you have created a way that his name and who he was and what he represented will live on forever. If you could please let me know when it will be awarded, I would love to be there

I really enjoyed playing with Adrian for many years, absolute sharp shooter and great bloke. My condolences to his family.

What an amazing guy 😢 this is so sad to hear

What a shock! He was a great shot! Sending love to family and friends ❤️

So sorry to hear this. xx

I am so saddened by this news. Adrian was such a lovely man.
