Welcome to RESPECT SPORTS

Playing to Share.

We are one of the first Basketball Competitions in Australia to share profits with specific charities each season.

RESPECT SPORTS currently run

MENS and WOMENS Social Basketball Competitions

At Respect Sports our profits go to a different charity each season.

Our Charity for 2025 seasons is… Mind Australia

Mind Australia support people experiencing mental health and wellbeing concerns to find help, hope and purpose in their lives.

They provide individualised, evidence-based and recovery focussed support to more than 11,000 people experiencing mental health and wellbeing concerns in Australia every year.

We would like to also thank all our referees that have helped our season run as well as it has.

But it is with sad reluctance that we say goodbye as our Ref Coordinator Stefka steps down from leading our ref teams. She has been with us since 2017 and has experienced all the ups and downs a competition can experience.

We will miss you around, and would love for you to drop in now and then.

Our annual "Adrian Glover" Sportsmanship Award for 2026 was won by Harsh Malik of 50 Shades of Blue.

Has shown great sportsmanship to both his team, other teams and referees. He earned the respect of a lot of people around the competition.

We also thank Brian Glover and family for coming to present this award named after our past player, Adrian Glover, who exemplified the kind of players we love at Respect Sports.
